Classroom sessions are the best way to ensure you and your staff are is being trained by a qualified TIPS® trainer. All of our sessions are conducted by certified TIPS trainers who, in addition to their extensive work experience in your industry, have completed a rigorous two-day, Train-the-Trainer workshop.
To become a certified TIPS participant, you will need to attend a 2-5 hour session (depending on the program) and complete a certification exam. You will be certified for three years, in most areas, and ready to balance outstanding customer service with responsible alcohol sales for your guests and customers.
1) Request Training from TIPS trainers in your region by completing and submitting a request form. Within 24-48 hours of the request, trainers will contact you to set-up a TIPS training session that works for you. This option will allow you to submit a training request and, in return, an e-mail will go out to our referral trainers in your area. The trainers will then respond to let you know their cost and the location where they are holding the session. This is usually the best option if you have more than three people who need training and you would like the convenience of holding the session at your location.
2) Browse Scheduled Sessions in your region. Enter search criteria to search for scheduled sessions that meet your needs. This option allows you to browse a list of currently scheduled sessions that are open to the public. This is usually the best option if there are fewer than three people who need training and you don't mind traveling a short distance.
